I have three exams this week - it's finals week here at Western. They should be fairly easy and even though I missed a whole week of class because of the trip, my professors have been pretty good to me and allowed me to make up most of the work. I should be good to go for this week and then I'll be done for the summer - excellent. Next semester is almost locked down for classes - I'm taking three communications classes next semester and I'm trying to get into two journalism classes. Five classes, working at the Herald and working at Borgess should keep me very busy this fall.
It already feels like summer and that's probably because, it is. Today we went to the IM Fields and tossed the frisbee around. The weather here in Kalamazoo was great - 60's, sunny with a light breeze. It felt good to run around in my bare feet and actually take a cold shower afterwards. Today was a glimpse that this is probably going to be a pretty good summer.
Not sure if anyone follows racing out there but Danica Patrick won her first IRL race. Pretty sweet. She's got a lot of talent and I believe that one of these years she could challenge for the Indy 500 or the IRL Championship.
Pistons lost their first game of the playoffs today - that was kind of a shocker. I am fairly confident that they'll be able to take at least one game in Philadelphia however. The Red Wings moved on to the second round (finally) and the Tigers are still struggling losing another series, this time to the Blue Jays. They have some major problems in their rotation - problems that hopefully will end soon. Pretty exciting times for Detroit sports fans right now.
