Mid-June Update

I'm avoiding blogger. No, not really. Just haven't had the time or drive to write a post until now - 1:30 in the morning on a Thursday morning. I've finally got some time off (the next 4 days) from class and work.

I've been actually very busy this summer thus far. Taking one class (which is done next week), working pretty steadily at Borgess and then also writing articles for the Herald. I wasn't sure if I'd get much work this summer with the Herald, but I've wrote about two a week for about a month at least now. The type of articles and sports have been different which is good because it gives me some experience with everything. I've had the most fun talking and interviewing the different players and coaches from around WMU. I also was able to go to a Kalamazoo Xplosion (indoor football team) game two weekends ago and actually finally cover a live event. I'm glad that I'm finally able to get some experience writing and I'm gearing up for the fall and spring semeters coming up.

Tigers are looking good. They've been on a roll as of late and it doesn't look like they'll let up anytime soon. The pitching is finally coming around and the offense seems as though it's starting to click on all cylinders. If the bullpen shapes up with the return of Zumaya and Rodney, it could be a dangerous summer for the other teams in the AL.

Looking forward to taking it easy this weekend. My next two weekends are filled with Robbie's bachelor party and the big trip home to Harbor for the 4th of July and Robin's wedding. Robin got a dog named Achilles. Awesome name for a dog.

Anyways, tomorrow is a big day of videogames, hanging out with friends and general laziness so I best be making my way to the other side of the room and my bed.
