Two Overtimes, Two Wins

Well, it was another weekend of hockey for me. After a 6-3 loss Friday night, the Broncos won a thriller of a game Saturday in double overtime and came out Sunday and finished off the Lakers 3-1. It was exciting to watch the comeback even though I was probably one of the only ones. The stands were pretty empty all three games of the weekend for some reason. It's too bad because it's the first time in 15 years that WMU has won a home playoff series. But, who cares that nobody showed up? They won and they're heading to Yost Ice Arena next weekend to face the Michigan Wolverines. WMU actually won there this season (I think it was 2-1) and Riley Gill has played very well there in his career, so they aren't exactly the underdogs. Michigan did have a powerful win over the Broncos here in Kalamazoo though this season.

I'll be at the Friday and Saturday games next weekend at Yost. Does anyone want to go?
